KwikTools Android App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the KwikTools Android app (package name com.kwiktools.app) handles information. KwikTools is a companion app for QR codes, barcode scanning, unit conversion, PDF tools, image compression, and Word-to-PDF conversion. Every tool runs entirely on your device — we built the app around a simple principle: the content you scan, generate, convert, or compress never has to leave your phone to do its job.

Information we collect

KwikTools does not require account creation and does not send the content you work with — scanned barcodes, generated QR codes, images, or documents — to any server of ours. We do not operate a backend for this app; everything is processed on-device.

A small history of QR codes generated, barcodes scanned, and favorite unit conversions is stored only in a local database on your device. This history is never uploaded anywhere and is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app.

Permissions and device access

• Camera is used only for live barcode/QR scanning, requested at the moment you open the scanner screen. It is never accessed in the background.
• Photos and files (for scanning a barcode from an existing image, building a PDF from photos, compressing an image, or picking a Word document) are accessed through Android's built-in picker, so the app only ever receives the specific file you choose — it has no general access to your photo library or file system.

Advertising and Google AdMob

KwikTools shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob and its advertising partners may use your device's advertising ID and other technical identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted by your settings and region. We do not receive or store your advertising ID ourselves — AdMob handles ad serving directly.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time from your Android system settings (Settings → Google → Ads), or learn more at Google's Ads Settings help page.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Beyond the ad-serving described above, the app does not share information with third parties, because the app does not collect or transmit your tool content in the first place.

Children's privacy

KwikTools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date above.
